How do I configure seat quotas by level and/or class?

MyScol offers the ability to manage the seat quota for levels and classes via a specific option that can be activated for free.

Activation of seat management by level / class

To enable this feature, go to the module"Parameters", then on the menu"Configuration".
In the tab"Preregistration", enable the following option:
Add/Edit a learner: Limit new registrations according to the number of places available"By putting it on"Yes".

Configure Quotas in MyScol

Once the option is activated, quota configuration is simply done through the "School Life" module.
Here are the detailed steps to configure quotas for classes and levels:

1 - Quota of places for classes:

Go to "School life"

Select the menu "Management of classes"

Change the value in the field "Number of places per class"as needed.

Click on "Validate."to record the changes.

2- Quota of places for levels:

Click on the menu "Class level management"Then on the button."Editing"

Change the value of the field "Number of places per level"and validate

Display of Quota Achieved

School portal:

If the seat quota is reached for certain classes or levels, an alert panel will be displayed in the relevant interfaces to inform managers. This alert panel appears only if the quota management option is enabled.

Here are the interfaces where the alert panel may appear:

1. In the table of the list of students in theModule "Registration Management":

The message will be displayed only on the three tabs framed in red

2. In the interface of modifying student information

This message takes into account the class, level, status of the student (unprocessed, pre-registration in class and accepted pre-registration) as well as the year of confirmation.

3. In the student add interface

This message takes into account the class, level, status of the student (unprocessed, pre-registration in class and accepted pre-registration) as well as the year of confirmation.

Parent/student portal:

On the parent/student portal, a message is displayed informing the user that the seat quota has been reached.

In addition, an alert appears each time a parent or student selects a class or level affected by that quota.
